OCTOBER focus: CORE STABILITY
Core stability is the ability to control the muscles of the trunk to support the body and spine during activity. It’s important for many reasons, including: injury prevention, improved posture and balance, create better coordination and reduce lower back pain. Some of the major muscles involved in core stability include the transverse abdominis, multifidus, internal and external obliques, rectus abdominis, erector spinae, and the diaphragm.
