JANUARY focus: POWER
Why work on POWER? Power in fitness is the ability to use strength quickly, or the amount of work performed in a given amount of time. It’s also known as explosive strength. Power is different from strength, which measures how much force your muscles can produce. Power is the product of strength and speed, and it’s important for many activities including hitting a golf ball, jumping higher and
preventing falls by allowing you to react quickly if you start to lose your balance. It can also help you get out of a low chair independently.
