It’s almost time for us all to run off to a fantastic Super Bowl Party! Does the sheer physical force of the NFL blow your mind as much as mine? Watching these guys run, tackle, throw and take hits is sometimes frighteningly amazing. Superbowl Sunday has turned into somewhat of a national holiday here! As we approach the big day, here are my top three tips for game day health:

Veggies are a fan’s best friend! I’ve read that Super Bowl Sunday is second only to Thanksgiving in overall noshing! Woah! If you’re anything like me, taco dip, chips, guacamole, and ALL THINGS SNACKS are a major temptation. As far as nutrition for this awesome day, I’ll be trading out chips for celery, carrot or zucchini sticks and not holding back on the guacamole. It’s brain food, after all! Looking for crazy yummo snack ideas? Check this out: Clean Food Crush If I weren’t ultra-skilled at sharing, I’d eat ALL the Black Bean Salsa before I got to the game day party.

1:2 drink ratio: Slow your roll but having two non-alcoholic bevys for every one alcoholic drink. This is a simple way to make sure you feel better for work tomorrow and not destroy your healthy bod plans. (Not a drinker? Good news, you’re going to feel awesome tomorrow! Please drive your friends home.xxoo)

Make your own touchdown dance! Because it’s a holiday and holidays make me feel extra generous, I’ve got a MAJOR Super Bowl Workout for you. Bring this to your friends and, if nothing else, giggles will give you the best ab workout of all. You could even do ONE quarter and get a great dose of fun movement worked into your day.
