Hello buddy! Yow! This March feels fast-paced and full of projects that will bloom in spring. My clients and classes are rockin’ and every minute of the day is full. I’m super grateful for this abundance!

The wild thing is, I’m struggling to find the energy to…WORKOUT! The good news is, my mind is full of quick, fun ideas to get in a total body workout anywhere. This weekend and last, my Total Body Towel Workout is what I’m doing to keep every muscle in my body in check. Today, I’ll do a quick warm-up, repeat the workout video two times, stretch and move on with my day.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how our culture feels the need to leave every workout feeling completely spent and beat up. I have clients ASK for this. While I understand wanting to feel like one has done something in a session they wouldn’t do solo, I challenge you to ask yourself if feeling awful at the end of training is really worth it? My opinion is, my friend, getting beat up is NOT necessary for progress. Neither is feeling sore. By all means, there are days and reasons to push yourself. My personal programming includes one or two workouts a week that are in the HELL-ish category. Any more than that and I start to go off the rails into crabby-town. Not my favorite place to visit.

So, I’m choosing this workout because it is enough to challenge me, get sweaty, and give attention to each muscle group without a lot of fuss. Truth be told, I’ll probably turn down the volume on my very own video and pump up Tiesto’s “Parade of the Athletes” album!

Every bit counts! I hope your workout today leaves you feeling better!
xoxo,
Katie
