Who doesn’t love a good party? As we enter the holiday celebration season, let’s run through a few keys to maintaining YOUR bliss.

1) Indulge in your favorites. Make a list of what they are! (Mom’s peanut butter chocolate logs, spinach artichoke dip and cheese, cheese and more cheese) Absolutely enjoy your favorites and tell us about them below!

2) Make a list of 5 minute workouts you can do anywhere. My YouTube channel has a playlist SPECIFICALLY for this. Get it in before you go out!

3) Headed to a party with a friend? Write down your party goal AND tell your friend. “Ima gonna stick to two glasses of wine tonight. Ima gonna LOVE the F out of those two glasses. Feel blessed by every sip.”

4) Be prepped for questions and crazy eyes. Wait, you’re going to have a limit??? WHY??? Tell them you want to feel good tomorrow. Real friends will NEVER argue that. They can and should still do whatevva they want, right? In my experiance, some will still push and tug at your dress a little. C’mmoooooonnnnn, you only live once! One more drink won’t hurt you! We get their point, right? And nobody wants to drink and binge alone. Stick the party out with them. Be their designated driver. The wingman. The attentive party animal. Then put them in a headlock and head home when you need to. Let your bud know you’re still in this together. 0 drinks or 12.

5) Pick a few poisons. Let’s face it, some things are worth the hangover. Am I allowed to say that? For example, my exes mom made this MAJOR strawberry shortcake sugar bomb. With full awareness of the crash that would inevitably come later, I chose to eat it. And it was good.

6) Give yourself a reason to celebrate other than the food and drink. SURE, those are the stars of many holiday parties. But what about connecting with family? Eye contact. Look up. Engage. Hug. Squeeze. Dance. Listen. Savor. Enjoy. Be. Go balls to the walls into that party with every intention of savoring and snuggling all those people around you. That is, after all, the greatest gift of the season. AMIRIGHT?

7) Review moderation. Pause when you’re eating. Smell the wine (isn’t that a thing anyways?), order a craft cocktail and watch the art of how it’s made. Savor the CHEESE. It’s like breathing. When you notice the quality of your breath, you’re instantly rejuvenated.

8) Eat before you go PARTYYYYY! When was the last time you went head first into a big fat green salad mid party? Get it in before you go. BONUS – load it up with mood/brain boosters – spinach, avocado, olive oil, almonds – and your chance of engaging with humans is going to multiply high!

9) Dress it up! That bod! Those biceps! You created that! Cover it with something delicious throw on a little Lenny Kravitz “Strut” and take those muscles into the world! Wow….!!!! Look at you!!!

10) Celebrate the next morning – a workout, a coffee, a spinach-filled smoothie, a 10minute yoga practice, a walk outside. FEEL how good you FEEL. Reflect in the fact that you WILL get more out of tomorrow, by taking care of yourself today.
